This dataset contains Delft3D FM model input and output files underlying the publication “How 3D processes drive trench infill and sand wave regeneration after dredging” submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface, by the authors. The simulations are used to identify and quantify the physical processes governing hydrodynamics and sediment transport that contribute to multiyear trench infill and sand wave regeneration following dredging. The dataset also includes processing scripts, supporting polygons, bathymetric measurements used for model comparison, and an environmental statement from the dredging contractor. The simulations were run on the Snellius super computer, using the 2023.03 version of the Delft3D FM software. For further details (folder structure etc.) see readme file and Delft3D FM user manual.
