Physicochemical characterization dataset of wastewater sources potentially influencing Bahía de Lobos coastal lagoon, Sonora, Mexico (2022–2023)
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains physicochemical monitoring data from wastewater sources potentially influencing the Bahía de Lobos coastal lagoon, Sonora, Mexico, collected from June 2022 to May 2023. The dataset includes chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) concentrations measured in wastewater samples associated with different anthropogenic sources, including swine wastewater, poultry wastewater, and urban wastewater. Samples were analyzed in triplicate using standardized analytical methodologies. Sampling coordinates were recorded in decimal degrees using the WGS84 geographic coordinate system, with geographic references obtained directly from Google Maps. These data provide information on the physicochemical characteristics and nutrient loads of potential contamination sources associated with coastal eutrophication and water quality degradation processes in northwestern Mexico. The dataset may be useful for wastewater characterization, nutrient loading assessment, environmental monitoring, pollution source identification, multivariate statistical analysis, and coastal ecosystem management. This dataset complements the monthly water quality monitoring dataset from Bahía de Lobos coastal lagoon, Sonora, Mexico, available at: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20195098
