Rhamnus erythroxylum Genome sequencing and assembly

Rhamnus erythroxylum Pallas is a shrub species of the Rhamnus L. in the family Rhamnaceae Juss., up to 2 m tall. It has the most peculiar morphological characteristics, presenting striate or striate lanceolate with less serrate leaf blade margins. The species is used as a tea substitute in Shaanxi folklore with strong aroma, and can be used medicinally as well , with the effect of clearing heat and eliminating food stagnation. It is distributed in Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, Hebei, Shanxi and other provinces, and is born in shady and humid places on mountain slopes or in valley thickets from 1,200 to 2,600 m above sea level .
