Effect of miRNA inhibition on endochondral differentiation

In this project, we aim to understand the role of three miRNA during chondrogenesis of human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs): miR-193a-5p, miR-1246, and miR-335-5p. We observed different patterns of matrix deposition following the inhibition of these miRNAs, but standard gene expression analysis did not reveal any gene of interest that might be involved in this process. Therefore, we performed transcriptome sequencing to give insights on the pathways controlled by these miRNAs.
