The goal of this study was to determine whether there was a direct relationship between stress and DNA methylation changes in fish gonads. During sex differentiation, we studied the sensitive window to density. Sex ratios were studied and methylation of canonical reproduction-related genes was analysed. Overall design: Zebrafish were reared at high density conditions as described in Ribas et al., 2017 J. Exp. Biol. During 7-21 days post fertilization (dpf) and 18-45 dpf. At 90 dpf gonads were dissected and flash frozen with liquid nitrogen for further molecular analysis and sex ratios were recorded
