Impact Cubed’s Values & Ethics Screening dataset enables investors to align their portfolios with clearly defined ethical, social, and environmental priorities. The methodology is rule-based, transparent, and research-driven, ensuring consistency, objectivity, and interpretability across all screens. The approach is also client-focused and responsive, informing product design, user support, and ongoing development.

**Dataset Structure:** The dataset comprises 46 screens across 28 topics, grouped into 7 categories: Animal welfare, Vice industries, Military, Industrial, Medical, Norms violations, and Energy. Where applicable, topics are evaluated through distinct Production and Distribution screens to more precisely capture company involvement.

- Animal welfare: animal testing, animals for entertainment, factory farming, fur, livestock, and whaling.
- Military: controversial weapons, nuclear weapons, defense civilian/ small arms, defense industrial, and nuclear power.
- Vice industries: adult entertainment, alcohol, cannabis, gambling, and tobacco.
- Industrial: palm oil, and pesticides.
- Medical: GMO, and contraceptives.
- Norms violations: violations of UNGC/OECD, corruption, environmental damage, human rights, and labour rights.
- Energy: coal, oil & gas, and oil sands.
