Data collection: "Mapping the Sun’s coronal magnetic field with DKIST/CryoNIRSP"Dataset:  "DKIST_CRYONIRSP_SP_20230622_1741UT"Data assembled on 24 July 2024 by Tom Schad - National Solar Observatory - tschad@nso.edu   Summary: The files contained within this dataset entitled "DKIST_CRYONIRSP_SP_20230622_1741UT" are a part of a collection entitled "Mapping the Sun’s coronal magnetic field with DKIST/CryoNIRSP."  They are made available for the purposes of supporting the important claims in the associated article (Schad et al. 2024 in press).   Detailed Description: The dataset contains RICE compressed FITS files of data derived from raw data acquired by the Cryogenic Near-Infrared Spectropolarimeter (CryoNIRSP) at the US National Science Foundation's Daniel K Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST).  This dataset set contains one deep spatial raster scan of the off limb solar corona on 22 June 2023 between 17:41 and 19:00 UTC. Each of the 322 FITS files contains a data cube of shape (2,4,2048,900).  These dimensions correspond to (2) orthogonal polarized beams on the spectrograph detector, (4) de-modulated Stokes states (I,Q,U,V), (2048) spatial positions along the slit, and (900) wavelength samples along the dispersion axis. These 322 data files amount to 3.6 GB of data, but they are derived from 51,520 camera frames of a total volume of ~281 GB.  The processing steps to reduce the data to this format are described in the associated article (Schad et al. 2024 in revision) as well as its referenced documents.  We note that only standard calibration methods have been applied to the data published here.  The additional steps of interference fringe and crosstalk mitigation, as described in the associated article, are not applied to this data. Please note that the quality of the data is sufficient to support the published results. However, the metadata included in the FITS file headers has known errors and inconsistencies.  IMPORTANT NOTE:The DKIST Data Center (https://nso.edu/dkist/data-center/) is the offical repository for raw and calibrated data products of the DKIST facility. The data provided here result from the same algorithms being integrated within the DKIST Data Center calibration processing code which is open source and available on BitBucket (https://bitbucket.org/dkistdc/dkist-processing-cryonirsp/).  The data made available here represents the best version of the calibration algorithms at the time of article writing.  Further improvements in data calibration fidelity and metadata accuracy are the scope of the DKIST Data Center.  The data published here ARE NOT SUPPORTED directly by the DKIST Data Center team and do not represent the final product of the DKIST Data Center pipeline architecture.
