We report the assessment of transcriptome by RNA-Seq of FACS purified Ins1-H2bmCherry purified primary mouse beta cells and Gcg-CreERT2 x YFP positive alpha cells of obese (ob/ob) mice compared to lean littermate controls Overall design: Examination of transcriptomes in primary alpha and beta cells in lean vs obob beta cells by RNA-Seq. Islets from 5 lean males, 5 lean females, 2 ob/ob males and 3 ob/ob females between 35-38 weeks of age.
