Furniture Preferences and Tacit Knowledge at Rumah Susun, Jakarta

This research was conducted in 2024 at the Kemayoran Flats, Jakarta, focusing on a family consisting of a mother, father, child, and grandchild (toddler). In-depth observation was carried out to understand how this family adapts and lives in vertical dwellings with limited space and facilities.

This research provides an overview of family life in Kemayoran Flats which is full of customization, creativity, and local wisdom. Understanding their lives can be an inspiration for more humane, environmentally friendly, and sustainable residential designs, as well as to strengthen people's sense of community and social resilience.
