资源简介:
A mesocosm experiment was conducted involving flooded riparian soil, with three plant community treatments (bare soil, native vegetation, and native vegetation with the invasive plant Impatiens glandulifera) exposed to pesticide or control conditions.Pots were flooded 8 weeks after the initial set up. A pesticide mix solution was prepared containing 32 compounds, including fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides, each with a nominal concentration of 1 µg/L to reflect the approximate pesticide load from rivers after a rainfall event. 500 mL of this mix or of tap water was added to each pot via the valve system at the bottom. Tap water was then added from the top to establish fully saturated soil with approximately 0.5 cm water level above the surface. To maintain a flooded condition, additional tap water was supplemented as needed to each pot. The flooding was sustained for 7 days. Root-zone porewater was then collected on the last day of flooding using Rhizon™ samplers (MOM, 5 cm, 0.15 µm pore size, Rhizosphere Research Products, Netherlands) inserted at the base of each plant. A total of 30 mL was collected from live plants (refer to for sample sizes of each treatment combination). Immediately after collection of porewater, pH and conductivity were measured directly in the samples using a portable meter (WTW MultiLine IDS, Xylem Analytics, Germany). Samples were then transported to the laboratory and divided into subsamples for various analyses, including dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON). Subsamples were stored at -18°C until further processing.
