CTDOT LRS Route and Milepoint Locator

This interactive web tool utilizes Esri's spatial and attribute queries to return milepoint locations along state routes and local roads. There are two main functions: Query and NearMe Query: For state roads - the user can enter an LRS route ID and milepoint to be zoomed to the selected milepoint location along a state road. This is an AND query where after selecting the LRS Route ID, only milepoints that exist along that route will be available in the selection pane. For local roads - the user can select a town, a road name, and then a milepoint to be zoomed to the select milepoint location along a municipally owned road. These are all AND statements so after selecting a town the user will only have access to road names in that town, and after selecting a road name the user will only be able to select from available milepoints. NearMe For the NearMe functionality, a user can select the LocateMe icon and enable the browser to know their location. From there, they can select NearMe for either state or local roads and the application will highlight the closest spatial milepoint location to where they are currently located by picking a point near their identified location. Users will get returned the town, road ID, and milepoint closest to them.
