The study aims to explore the chamber-specific cardiac transcriptome data for 7 different vertebrate species with diverse anatomy. The study explores the conserved yet distinct nature of gene expression and enriched modules working in the different heart chambers of zebrafish, African frog, chicken, goat, rabbit, mouse and human. The study also aims to explore the conserved nature of long non-coding RNAs and circular RNA transcripts. Our study also aims to provide an important resource called EvoACTG (Evolutionary Atlas of Cardiac Transcriptomes and homologous Genes) for the community to help identify lncRNA homologs and examine the regional differences in the gene expression pattern of the heart. EvoACTG aims to facilitate the researchers to explore the intertwined expression of both coding and non-coding transcripts across model organisms.
