Ralstonia pickettii 12J. Ralstonia pickettii 12J was isolated from copper-contaminated sediment from a lake in Michigan. In addition to being highly resistant to copper, strain 12J is also resistant to zinc and cadmium. This organism will be used for comparative analysis with other heavy metal resistant microorganisms.
