Transcriptome sequences of colistin-susceptible and colistin-resistant isolates Escherichia coli ATCC25922 reveals novel regulatory genes involved in colistin resistance.

In the use of colistin-resistance (Colr) strain Escherichia coli ATCC25922-R (Sample B), generating from colistin-sensible (Cols) strain E. coli ATCC25922 (Sample A) by colistin step-wise induction, we successfully explored the genetic basis of colistin resistance strain and analyzed whole transcriptome characterization of the resistant strain compared with susceptible strain. The transcriptome profile of the resistant strain E. coli ATCC25922-R treated with 2 mg/l colistin (Sample C) was also determined.
