Working Conditions for Kindergarten Employees, 1994

The spring of 1994 there was conducted a working environment survey on employees in kindergartens. The survey was conducted by Statistics Norway on commission by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority. Similar surveys were also conducted for employees in the engineering industry and in companies that work with transport, handling and storing of goods, commodities, waste and the like.

The background for this survey was that working life underwent significant changes the years before this survey was conducted. The survey was meant to illuminate how this has influenced the working environment in limited sectors of working life, and includes questions about salary- and employment conditions, working environment, leadership and health. The results from this survey was used in connection with the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's further aims within health, environment and security.
