SV-BR-1-GM, a GM-CSF overexpressing breast cancer cell line

SV-BR-1-GM, derived from a patient with grade 2 (moderately differentiated) breast cancer, is a GM-CSF-secreting breast cancer cell line with properties of antigen-presenting cells, including expression of HLA class II genes. Irradiated SV-BR-1-GM cells have been used as a cellular immunotherapy for breast cancer in clinical trials. HLA allele matches between patients and SV-BR-1-GM was hypothesized to contribute to the efficacy of the immunotherapy. An RNA-seq project with the samples provided here identified estimated transcript expression levels of individual HLA alleles present in SV-BR-1-GM cells.
