Structural Changes of Gut Microbiota during Berberine-Mediated Prevention of Obesity and Insulin Resistance in High-Fat Diet-Fed Rat. The purpose of this work is to study the structural changes of fecal microbiota and its possible role in berberine-mediated prevention of obesity and insulin resistance. Bar-coded pyrosequencing of the V3 region of 16S rRNA genes for 120 fecal samples collected from rats (total of 120 rat feces freshly collected from 40 rats at 3 time points).
