Staff and student interviews on sustainable campus community engagement

Twenty-four Bond University staff and students were surveyed from April to July in 2012, in order to discover the barriers to and motivators of sustainable practice. The dataset consist of a set of five opened ended survey questions and the survey results. The data includes the following categories of information: awareness of sustainable campus initiatives, participation in initiatives, factors that encourage participation and suggestions for improved engagement. The resulting data will be evaluated against successful sustainability initiatives undertaken by universities in Australia. With an overview of sustainable campuses in Australia, this study will develop a strategy to engage the Bond community in sustainable practices.
