This document is the R scripts from paper "Synchrony and Maturation in loop design grown microbial metacommunities". A long term experiment was conducted to investigate the degree of synchronization and stability of a highly diverse metacommunity grown in a continuous loop design for more than 3200 generations. We disrupted established synchrony by reducing and stopping mass transfer to study reassembly behavior after a disturbance. We investigated whether the same cell types would prevail in community dynamics if a community were restarted. This would show the impact of a metacommunity's early assembly history. Further the balance between deterministic and stochastic forces in synchronized and re-synchronized communities was of interest, as was the question of whether small stochastic changes within populations and communities can lead to large changes in community properties.
