Mus musculus [C57BL/6 x Japanese fancy 1] F1 genome sequencing project. Mus musculus strain:[C57BL/6 x Japanese fancy 1] F1

C57BL/6 (B6) females were mated with Japanese fancy 1 (JF1) males to generate [B6xJF1]F1 mice and reciprocally crossed to generate [JF1xB6]F1 mice. Total RNA was extracted using ISOGEN (Nippon gene, Tokyo, Japan) and further purified using RNeasy mini Kit and RNase-free DNase (Qiagen, CA, USA) from four [B6xJF1]F1 and four [JF1xB6]F1 placentas at E13.5, respectively and pooled. Twelve micrograms of total RNA was used for rRNA depletion (RiboMinus Eukaryote kit for RNA-seq, Invitrogen, CA, USA) and RNA-seq library construction (SOLiD Whole Transcriptome Analysis Kit, Life technologies, CA, USA) according to the manufacturer's protocol.
