Seasonal variation in domestic cat (Felis catus) abundance, population size, and habitat associations across a mosaic of habitats

Estimating abundance, population size, and habitat associations of outdoor domestic cats, or wandering cats, throughout the year in the south Okanagan Valley. Cats were assessed across five seasons: 1. spring, 2. summer, 3. fall, 4. early winter, and 5. late winter. They were also assessed across four habitat types; peri-urban (PU), urban (UR), natural (NA), and agricultural (AG). Trail camera location coordinates are excluded to keep landowner participation private.
