Escherichia phage KIT01 was isolated from soil in chicken farm in Can Tho City, Vietnam. The host for isolating and amplifying is Escherichia coli NBRC3972. Phage KIT01 can lyze some strains of E. coli and Salmonella. Whole genome sequence of KIT01 was performed by Illumina Hiseq 2500 in Hokkaido System Science Co., Ltd. The reads were assembled by Velvet v1.2.10. The ORFs was predicted by RAST v2.0 and GenemarkS v4.28 and the function was searched by BLASTp. The genome of the phage KIT01 does not contain any toxic gene nor integrase.
