We propose a 50 ks NuSTAR observation with complementary 50 ks using XMM ofthe HMXB 4U1538-52 at orbital phase 0.35-0.65 where the accretion structure crosses and obscures our line of sight. By monitoring the source before andduring the passage of the wake using NuSTARa??s high energy coverage we candistinguish changes in the continuum caused by the wake from changes caused bythe neutron stara??s intrinsic variability down to the pulse period . We willalso determine the geometry of the accretion columns by measuring thevariability of the cyclotron lines located at 22 keV and 47 keV. [truncated! Please see actual data for full text]
