Mediji in srednješolci v Sloveniji 2024

The report Media and high school students in Slovenia presents primary data collected in 2024 in the form of attitudes, opinions and evaluations of high school students at the national level, concerning their personal experience, practices and views in connection with the media and certain areas of life (psychophysical well-being, behavior, etc.). The accumulation of this statistical base, focused on the mentioned vulnerable group, is taking place for the second time within the framework of the Infrastructure Program - collection, management and archiving of data on media literacy. Therefore, the inventory of the situation and trends in the domestic environment and the comparability of the results of current analyzes with the previous findings of Mateja Rek and Kristina Milanovski Brumat (2016) represent a significant support and contribution to science in Slovenia. The data set is not only an opportunity for further research work but also serves as a starting point for the development, planning and implementation of relevant initiatives, guidelines, curricula, and education of media literacy in our country. In addition, we supplement our own data with some findings of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS) and the Mladina 2020 work according to Lavrič et al. (2021).
