Topography of the complete corticopontine projection (v3)

3D reconstructed point coordinate data representing the spatial location of anterogradely labeled corticopontine axonal projections originating from frontal, parietal, temporal or occipital areas of the cerebral cortex. The data show that corticopontine projections from the entire cerebral cortex are topographically organized in the pontine nuclei, following a principal map that allows fairly accurate prediction of pontine target area for any site of origin in the cerebral cortex.
