Code and reproducibility materials for credit-reporting beliefs and late BNPL payment in the 2025 SHED

This archive provides the R code and numerical outputs supporting the manuscript “Credit-reporting beliefs, affordability-related use and self-reported late payment among U.S. buy-now-pay-later users: a cross-sectional analysis of the 2025 SHED” by Kaibo Tang. It was prepared on 3 November 2026. The archive contains scripts for data preparation, survey-weighted statistical analysis, numerical table generation and figure generation, together with aggregate results, table inputs, figure source data, software versions, session information and file checksums. The analyses use the public 2025 Survey of Household Economics and Decisionmaking (SHED). The original respondent-level data are not included in this archive and must be downloaded separately from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System at https://doi.org/10.17016/datasets.002. The README provides data-access instructions, software requirements and the execution order. The statistical specifications and numerical results are unchanged from the preceding manuscript revision.
