Lithium-ion battery import value South Korea 2023, by leading country of origin

In 2023, more than eight billion U.S. dollars worth of lithium-ion batteries were imported to South Korea from China. This accounted for the overwhelming majority of battery imports, with the total import value adding up to around 8.5 billion U.S. dollars that year. The leading lithium-ion battery makers in South Korea are LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and SK On.
