Study on the basis and mechanism of effective substances for regulating blood lipids in the aerial part of P. japonicus

The Panax japonicus C. A. Mey.var. major (Burk) C.Y.Wu et K.M. Feng was widely used as herbal medicine in China from the Qing Dynasty and is regarded as one of the representative medicines of 'Taibai Qiyao' in Qinba mountain area and used to treat liver disease and hypochondriac pain. The objective is to evaluate the hepatoprotection and regulation of intestinal flora of the aerial part of P. japonicus in a rat model with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced acute liver injury.
