The GTB.24 v1 catalogue is a seismicity catalogue computed with automatic processing workflows for all fluid injection experiments at the Geothermal Test Bed (GTB) experiments at the Bedretto Underground Laboratory for Geosciences and Geoenergies (BULGG) before December 2024, and has been computed in the context of the two “Mzero experiments” in April and August of 2024 (Gischig et al., in prep.). The dataset spans from 2021-11-17 to 2024-09-16, and also includes the VALTER experiment series conducted in 2021 - 2023 (VALTER Final Report). An independent catalogue for the VALTER experiments is already described, and has been published in Obermann et al., 2024, JGR. All experiments have been monitored with the “VALTER array” (Plenkers et al., 2023, Sensors). This v1 and the Obermann et al (2024) catalogues differ in terms of the detection, location and magnitude algorithms and software (description below), time span that is being covered, assumed constant wave speed values, borehole trajectory versions and hence corresponding sensor locations, and catalogue quality control measures. This v1 dataset is post-processed using SeisComP with a consistent set of parameters, with enhanced event location accuracy and quality control. The v1 release delivers the preferred absolute location (v1-absolute csv file archive, based on StdLoc); a high-resolution double-difference (v1-dd csv file archive, based on scrtdd) catalogue; as well as two alternative absolute location catalogues (in the v1 full xml file archive, based on StdLoc and NonLinLoc), all computed from automatically repicked waveform data (although when manual picks are available, these are used). Files are split into time windows according to the 24 separate injection experiments. This dataset provides a basis for research on the Geothermal Test Bed experiments.
