Purpose: The aim of this in vitro fermentation experiment is to simulate the microbial fermentation process of flaxseed lignan extract in the rumen, assessing its impact on fermentation products and microbial communities.Experimental Steps:Substrate Preparation: Utilize appropriate culture media or simulate rumen fluid to prepare a substrate containing flaxseed lignan extract.Inoculate Microorganisms: Add rumen microbial samples to the culture medium, ensuring a representative composition of the actual rumen microbial community.Flaxseed Lignan Extract Addition: Introduce a suitable amount of flaxseed lignan extract into the culture medium to simulate real-world application conditions.In Vitro Fermentation: Conduct in vitro fermentation of the mixed solution under controlled temperature and pH conditions, mimicking the actual rumen environment.Sampling and Analysis: Collect samples at different time points, analyzing fermentation products such as volatile fatty acids (VFAs) concentrations and changes in microbial communities.Data Analysis: Utilize the collected data to evaluate the impact of flaxseed lignan extract on the in vitro fermentation process, including effects on VFA production, microbial diversity, and dominant bacterial groups.Conclusion: Through this in vitro experiment, our goal is to gain deeper insights into the role of flaxseed lignan extract in simulating the rumen environment, providing a foundation for further research and applications.
