Long read PacBio assembly of A. suecica scaffolded using HiC and a genetic map

A. suecica is a natural allopolyploid hybrid of A. thaliana and A. arenosa. The cross was made multiple times independently during the last Ice Age ~ 15,000 years ago, likely in Central Eurasia. Currently A. suecica occupies a restricted niche in northern Fennoscandinavia having migrated here at the end of the Ice Age. Here we present an annotated chromosome level assembly of A. suecica using long pacbio reads and scaffolded using HiC and a genetic map for the species.
