资源简介:
The overall aim of this study was to determine the predictors of disaster preparedness and resilience towards future hydrocarbon (oil spill) disasters, among individuals residing in Gulf of Mexico communities. This dataset contains in-person surveys data that were collected with a total of 326 residents from the Gulf Coast communities of Galliano, Louisiana; Port Sulphur, Louisiana; and Bayou La Batre, Alabama between June and November of 2017. The survey collected data on social networks, oil spill associations, past disaster exposure, protective action decision making, perceived oil spill consequences, interdependence questions, resilience attributes, and demographics. This dataset supports the publication: Patel, M., Saltzman, L., Ferreira, R., & Lesen, A. (2018). Resilience: Examining the Impacts of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on the Gulf Coast Vietnamese American Community. Social Sciences, 7(10), 203. doi:10.3390/socsci7100203
