PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving redispersibility of dried or partially dried microfibrillated cellulose， a method for redispersion of dried or partially dried microfibrillated cellulose， a method for using compositions containing redispersed microfibrillated cellulose and redispersed microfibrillated cellulose in articles， products， or compositions; and a method for improving physical and/or mechanical properties of redispersed dried or partially dried microfibrillated cellulose. SOLUTION: An aqueous composition of microfibrillated cellulose is dehydrated， dried and redispersed. The microfibrillated cellulose has a tensile strength and/or viscosity of at least 50% prior to drying. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
