Amnicola limosus Genome sequencing. Amnicola limosus

We conducted a de novo genome assembly for Amnicola limosus (Mud Amnicola, freshwater gastropod) , which was used to align pool sequencing reads for a population genomics study aiming at uncovering the potential for local adaptation of A. limosus to an invasive predator fish (Neogobius melanostomus, common name round goby) and to low water calcium concentration, as well as document the population structure, gene flow patterns and genetic diversity in this study system (Upper St. Lawrence River, QC, Canada). The draft genome assembly was supported by a CanSeq150 seed grant to Pr. Alison Derry and Pr. Rowan Barrett from Canada's Genomics Enterprise (CGEn), which provided platform support at Genome Quebec for the sequencing.
