资源简介:
This dataset contains HTTP request and response traces generated during video streaming sessions in the context of the P3 Media Delivery Service (MDS) use case of the CODECO project. The data originates from HAR (HTTP Archive) network captures recorded using browser developer tools during demonstrations of a distributed Content Delivery Network (CDN) architecture. In the experimental setup, the central CDN origin server was deployed in a data centre in Greece, hosting the master copy of the media content. An edge cache instance was deployed in Madrid (Spain) on a compute cluster orchestrated through the CODECO edge-cloud platform. When users accessed the streaming service, requests were initially handled by the central CDN endpoint and then redirected to the edge cache, allowing media segments to be served locally from the edge infrastructure rather than from the central origin. The dataset therefore contains network traces from both the central CDN node and the edge cache node, capturing realistic streaming traffic across distributed edge–cloud infrastructure. Each row in the dataset represents a single HTTP transaction associated with media streaming, including:media segment requests (e.g. .ts, .m4s)streaming manifest files (e.g. .m3u8, .mpd)request and response metadatanetwork timing and performance metricsThe dataset enables analysis of content delivery behaviour in distributed edge–cloud architectures, supporting research on:media streaming performanceedge caching efficiencydistributed CDN architecturesnetwork latency and throughputQuality of Experience (QoE) monitoring for video deliveryData GenerationNetwork traffic was captured during CODECO Media Delivery Service demonstrations using browser network inspection tools.Processing steps included:Streaming sessions were executed through the CODECO media delivery platform.Network traffic was recorded as HAR files using browser developer tools.A Python processing pipeline parsed HAR entries and anonymized IP addresses.Relevant request, response, and timing fields were extracted and exported into a flattened CSV dataset. The resulting dataset represents real HTTP traffic observed during streaming playback sessions.Dataset ContentsSmart Cities MDS/├── README.md├── HEU-101092696-CODECO-P3-MDS-MediaConsumptionTraffic.csv└── anonymize-raw-traffic-file-madrid-cluster.harThe CSV file contains HTTP transaction records, including request URLs, server information, HTTP status codes, timing metrics, and derived streaming metadata.Data FormatFormat: CSV (Comma-Separated Values)Encoding: UTF-8Header row includedTime format: ISO-8601 timestampsTiming metrics expressed in millisecondsResearch ApplicationsThis dataset is intended for researchers and engineers working on:Edge-cloud media deliveryContent Delivery Networks (CDN)Edge caching and orchestrationNetwork performance monitoringVideo streaming QoE analysisTypical analyses include:streaming chunk delivery latencythroughput estimationedge cache vs origin node comparisonreconstruction of streaming sessionsProject InformationProject: CODECO — COgnitive DECentralized OrchestrationProgramme: Horizon EuropeGrant Agreement: 101092696Topic: HORIZON-CL4-2022-DATA-01Related Work Package: WP5Project website:https://www.codeco-project.euLicenseThis dataset is released under the ODC Open Database License (ODbL).You are free to:share — copy and redistribute the databasecreate — produce works from the databaseadapt — modify and build upon the databaseUnder the conditions that you:attribute the sourceshare derived databases under the same licensekeep the data openFull license:https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/CitationIf you use this dataset in your research, please cite:CODECO — COgnitive DECentralized OrchestrationHorizon Europe Grant Agreement No. 101092696Dataset:HEU-101092696-CODECO-P3-MDS-MediaConsumptionTraffic
