This dataset is comprised of electroencephalography (EEG) data obtained from healthy young adults while they performed an obstacle stepping treadmill walking task in virtual reality (VR). This experiment sought to examine the influence of available response time (ART) on the cortical activity supporting locomotor adaptations. The task involved stepping over obstacles under a short (1.5 s) and long (4 s) available response times. Participants' characteristics and results from clinical assessments are stored in a table format under the filename: "Descriptive_data.tab". All the code used to analyze our data is stored under the folder "Code". The codes are numbered based on the sequence in which they are run in the pipeline. The same folder also contains the SAS code used for statistical analysis. EEG data is stored in different folders that correspond to the different processing steps of the analysis. Inside these folders, data from each participant is stored in a separate subfolder. Participant's full body kinematics are stored using a similar structure.
