Dataset resulting from a national survey conducted by the Portuguese Network of Data Stewards (RPDS)

This dataset results from a national survey conducted by the Portuguese Network of Data Stewards (RPDS), coordinated by the Re.Data Consortium. The purpose of the survey was to identify professionals involved in Research Data Management (RDM) in Portugal, characterise their roles and institutional contexts, and understand training needs, available competencies, and challenges faced in their daily practice. Because the role of Data Steward varies considerably across institutions, the survey aimed to map existing profiles and support the development of a national community of practice. All professionals with RDM-related responsibilities were invited to participate, and respondents were also encouraged to join the RPDS.
