Cicer arietinum cultivar:KWR 108 and GL 13001 Transcriptome or Gene expression

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is one of the important pulse crop and major source of protein intake in countries like India. The production and productivity of chickpea is severely affected by wilt disease caused Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceris. Several QTLs and markers have been reported, however, molecular mechanisms imparting resistance against Fusarium wilt is still poorly understood in chickpea. Therefore, shoot trancriptome sequencing and its analysis could provide insight into the molecular mechanism which will in turn help the breeders in developing chickpea cultivars resistance against Fusarium wilt.
