Our study aimed to identify common m6A features in OA. We identified 8511 genes with 25295 peaks in the OA sample and 7541 genes with 17474 peaks in the control sample, indicating an overall hypermethylated level in the OA cartilage. We collected three OA knee cartilage tissues and three normal knee cartilage tissues to obtain the transcriptome-wide m6A modification profile of genes in OA by methylated RNA immunoprecipitation next-generation sequencing (MeRIP-seq).
