Model forecasts for Israel and the East Mediterranean. Includes temperature, wind, humidity.

This dataset includes weather forecasts with the 5th-generation
Mesoscale Model (MM5). From 27 Jan 2002 this is version 3, before that
version 2. The model is initialized using NCEP global analyses for the
region 30 West to 60 East and 0 to 90 North. Two grids are used :
58x73 with 60 km interval from 5 to 50 E and 15 to 51 N, and 73x73
with 20 km interval from 27 to 42 E and from 27 to 41 N. Calculations
are made with 36 heights, but output files have only 20 levels. The
model incorporates cloud and rain water with ice phase microphysics;
Fritch and Kain Cumulus parameterization scheme; the Medium Range
Forecast type planetary boundary layer parameterization; a 5-layer
soil model with temperature prediction in 1,2,4,8,16 cm layers using
vertical diffusion equation; surface fluxes; cloud effects on the
short-wave radiation processes. Forecasts are made twice daily,
starting from the 00:00 UTC analyses, for 06:00, 12;00, etc., up to 48
hours ahead. Archived data includes: temperature, wind, humidity,
precipitation, height of boundary layer, and more.
