This Marine geophysics file contains bathymetry, magnetics and gravity
data in the Pacific Ocean. Data sources are mainly Japanese and
United States. Data are stored in MDG77 format. The data set is composed
of bathymetry, geomagnetism and gravity obtained by ship platform in
MGD77 format which was developed by Dr. Hittelman in 1977 on behalf of
National Geophysical Data Center(NGDC) to promote geophysical data
exchange on magnetic tapes. The MGD77 records a cruise data in one
file and the file comprises a header record for cruise information and
data records for observed data. The volumes of MGD77 data set are
1.5 giga bytes.
Data in these files are available as copies of specified data subsets
on magnetic tapes, floppy disks,CD-ROMs or printed form.
