The Open Science questionnaire was designed to capture participants’ attitudes, perceptions, and self-assessed readiness regarding Open Science practices, with a particular focus on data sharing and data reuse. In addition to basic demographic and background information (domain of research or profession, professional title, organisation type, level of education, and country), the questionnaire included a structured set of Likert-scale items addressing key dimensions relevant to Open Science adoption.
The Open Science Attitude Questionnaire was designed to assess participants’ attitude towards open science. The objective of using the OSAQ was to detect any changes in the attitude towards open science after using an open science tool, the RAISE platform. As changes in attitude takes time, and might be linked to culture as well, only members involved in the WP5 project’s piloting activities participated in this assessment. 18 pilot participants filled in the OSAQ questionnaire before start interacting with RAISE (before-) and then after they have finished the data exchange and collaboration with the other partners within the realm of WP5 project’s piloting activities (after-). Although the OSAQ covers all aspects of open science, we would expected changes only in some areas as RAISE address specific open science elements. The responses (18 pairs of before- and after- using RAISE) are included in this dataset.
