Data for the article : The long-term C footprint trajectory and emissions attribution of a large boreal reservoir (Paix des Braves (Eastmain-1) reservoir, Québec)

This database comprises previously published and unpublished data on physicochemical and greenhouse gas dynamics of from the Eastman-1 (Paix des Braves) reservoir from 2005 to 2022. In addition, the data repository includes a database of CO2 and CH4 concentrations and fluxes from lakes throughout Quebec, both published and unpublished, and a data set of CO2 and CH4 concentrations and fluxes from hydroelectric reservoirs located throughout Quebec, collected from 1993 to 2022. Various methodologies were used: floating chambers, measured partial pressures of dissolved gases in surface waters using headspace techniques, field campaigns, automated monitoring systems in generating stations. The purpose of the data was to study and assess one term trajectory of CO2 and CH4 fluxes in the Paix de Braves (Eastmain-1) reservoir, and to place these trajectories in the context of GHG dynamics of lakes and reservoirs across the Quebec landscape.
