The Buddha’s genetic legacy offers a profound opportunity to explore reincarnation through empirical science. In this paper, the discussion of genetic reincarnation using the DNA of the Buddha is expanded with an analogy inspired by Greek mythology: the Buddha as Zeus, Ananda as Poseidon, and Anuruddha as Hades. This triad illustrates the interconnectedness of genotypic and phenotypic inheritance within the Buddha’s familial and spiritual circle. By examining the relationships and roles of these figures, we highlight the natural and symbolic aspects of genetic recombination and the enduring influence of their legacy.
