Population genomic sequencing of Lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) and interior spruce (Picea glauca, Picea engelmannii and their hybrids) using targeted sequence capture.

The goal of this study was to sequence individuals from a large number of populations spanning the geographic and climatic ranges of Lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) and interior spruce (Picea glauca, Picea engelmannii and their hybrids). This data was used to identify genes and genomic regions involved in local adaptation, both through Genome Wide Association Studies and allele-environment correlation analysis.
