Researchers have induced an experimental model of multiple sclerosis [experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE)] in C57BL/6 mice to test the neuro-therapeutic effect of Liraglutide during the disease peak and investigate its possible mechanisms. Overall design: The experimental conditions to be considered in this study are: 1. Tissue: Lumbar Spinal Cord : 6 samples (tissues are sampled when clinical score peak) ; 2. Treatment: (a) EAE : 3 samples (b) Liraglutide treatment+EAE: 3 samples. For EAE induction, emulsion of Complete Freund's Adjuvant, 4 mg/ml Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra and 0.25mg MOG35-55 was subcutaneously paraspinally injected to the mice, and 500 ng of pertussis toxin was given intraperitoneally twice 0 and 48hours after immunisation.
