<p>The survey was conducted by the Gallup Organization. A national cross-section of head of households or spouse in any household with total savings and investments of $10,000 or more (57,428) were interviewed in December 2002 to collect information on individual's investment decisions, and to create the Optimism Index. A multi-country version of this survey was also conducted.</p>
<p><strong>Please Note</strong>: This dataset is part of the historical CISER Data Archive Collection and is also available at the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research as individual monthly downloads. We highly recommend using the Roper Center versions as they may make this dataset available in multiple data formats in the future.</p>
