Endofungal Mycetohabitans rhizoxinica Bacteremia Associated with Rhizopus microsporus Respiratory Tract Infection

A case report of an endofungal bacterium associated with Mucorales molds isolated from the blood stream of a patient with mold growing from a tracheal aspirate. Sequencing, SNP, and toxin gene analysis of the bacteremia isolate and the mold isolate from the trachea suggests the isolate from blood originated from the invasive mold.
