Dataset and Matlab(R) scripts for separating tectonic and climatic signals in Holocene sea-Level records, Central Chile

Reconstructing past sea levels on tectonically active coasts is crucial for testing future sea-level models, but remains challenging because climatic and tectonic signals are superimposed. This dataset provides MATLAB® scripts and accompanying data to quantify the local tectonic contribution to relative sea-level (RSL) change along 500 km of the central Chilean coast. The data includes 266 sites with mapped shoreline-angle elevations of rocky Holocene shorelines and previously mapped Last Interglacial terraces, which together allow estimation of tectonically corrected RSL. The dataset also contains Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) models used for comparison. The scripts provide functions to model terrace uplift rates, calculate indicative meaning, test different GIA curves, and generate the figures used in the manuscript.
