This series consists of wages books recording the amount of fortnightly wages received by office employees of Electric Supply Company of Victoria, Ballarat, for the period 1913 to 1931. In addition to recording individual wages, the purpose of the record also appears to have another accounting function tracking other related expenses at the bottom of each double-page spread. Each book includes the following details: Name of employee Occupation Allocation number Rate of payment For each fortnightly period the following additional details are recorded: No. of weeks, days, hours worked in the fortnightly period Rate of payment Salary amount Deductions
